U.S. County MapsAlthough sophisticated mapping programs exist that allow the mapping of taxon distributions, more often than not, the need for labeled county outline maps still exists - whether as a reference to map specimen occurrences onto dot maps or to locate cited specimens. This site provides labeled county outline maps for all fifty states to facilitate these efforts. The maps were originally created by the US Census Bureau (1990). Numerous additional maps (historical and current; national and international) may be accessed from the University of Texas Perry Castaneda Library Map Collection.
