This is one of our tallest native pitcher plants. Pitchers have been known to reach waist high! The pitchers are upright, lack white or translucent patches, but exhibit broad hoods (between 4–10 cm wide) that are usually very pinched at the back.
Sarracenia flava: Common; wet savannas, sandhill bogs, pocosins; Piedmont [rare], Coastal Plain. |
