Aralia L. (Araliaceae)

A genus of about thirty to seventy species of herbs, shrubs, vines, and trees; primarily of e. North America, e. Asia, and se. Asia.

One species occurs in North Carolina, Aralia spinosa (Devil's-walking-stick). It is considered native to the state.
