Site 1: Outskirts of central Wake County

You've spent considerable time exploring the rolling hill-and-valley landscape of central Wake County (Raleigh would not be planned until another eight years!). You have come across the following trees, which you are certain are not European. Study the trees closely, including the notes on their habitat and biology, and sort them by morphology. Six boxes have been provided; you may or may not need them all. Once you have sorted all specimens, complete a population character matrix for this site. Using Species Plantarum determine which species are known to science and which ones are not.
