Site 4: French Broad River and environs (vicinity of present-day Asheville)

Traveling west you've been fortunate to collect and study the forests and environs of the French Broad River near present-day Asheville (the town itself would not be formed for another four years and Buncombe County not for another eleven years). Study the trees closely, including the notes on their habitat and biology, and sort them by morphology. Six boxes have been provided; you may or may not need them all. Once you have sorted all specimens, complete a population character matrix for this site and add it to your matrix from the previous sites.
